About us

Acclimbatize is directed by Daryl Godfrey a professionally qualified Mountaineering and Caving Instructor who acts as technical advisor & consultant to a range of other centres & providers.

Professional experience includes:

Five years based in the Alps for British Ski tour operators
Seven years as an outdoor tutor for a local authority centre.
Two years as a senior instructor to an educational charity.
Expedition leadership experience spanning from the Arctic to the Atlas and from the Karakorum to Kilimanjaro.

Daryl is presently working towards a masters degree in Strategic Sports Management at the University of Derby (Buxton) and currently holds status to direct training & assessment on leadership accreditation awards for the national governing bodies of Caving & Mountaineering.
