Acclimbatize are approved by MLTE (Mountain Leader Training England) to provide training and assessment courses for the Single Pitch Award (SPA)
This qualification is for suitably experienced climbers who are keen to introduce groups of novices to the sport of
Rock Climbing.  The award will satisfy the requirements of employing organisations and the Adventure Activity Licensing Service.   

SPA Dates 2012

SPA Training 3rd & 4th March £140

SPA assessment 7th & 8th April - Cost £140

SPA Training 2nd & 3rd June - £140

SPA Training 22 & 23rd September - £140

SPA Assessment  20 & 21st  October - Cost £140
 

Caving Qualifications and Leadership Development
Approved by the National Governing Body of Caving (British Caving Association) to provide training and assessment in all 6 modules of the local cave and mine leader award scheme.
This scheme is for keen suitably experienced cavers wishing to gain a recognised qualification to lead novice parties underground. The awards will satisfy the requirements of employing organisations and the Adventure Activities Licensing Scheme.

Level 2 Training - November 7th & 8th 2011.

Level 1 Training - November 26th & 27th 2011

Assessments arranged for all 6 modules by private arrangement - telephone the office or email to enquire.  

Hill walking and Mountaineering.

These courses are organised by Acclimbatize, supported by our staff team but provided by close associates (Max Holliday & Phil Booth) course provider number 058 

Walking Group Leader Award:

Walking Group Leader Assessment 19 - 21st August 2011

Mountain Leader Award - Training £395 inc Vat

This 6 day couse packs in 60 hours of training in all aspects of mountain leadership in summer conditions. 3 days Peak District -   3 days expedition in Snodonia or the English Lakes

Continued Professional Development.

CPD is now a mandatory requirement for membership of professional mountaineering organisations (AMI, BAIML) with a standard 3 year revalidation keeping professionally qualified  cavers (C.I.Cs) in currency.

We organise CPD events for professional and vocational award holders and outdoor leaders wishing to stay current, top up on skills and deliver best practice within the remit of their qualifications. CPD events with  Acclimbatize can be organised directly by client organisations in a private context.

Open courses will be advertised through MLTA or BCA on their respective websites.
